The Race
Pat Ryan is back for another round. The incumbent Democrat cruised through his primary on June 23, running unopposed, and now faces Republican Sharanjit Thind in the general election scheduled for November third. Three candidates total will appear on the ballot. This race has already pulled in $4.5 million combined from all candidates, a serious war chest for a House seat.
Ratings
The Cook Political Report and the consensus of major election forecasters have a clear read: Solid Democratic. That rating, locked in as of mid-June, means Ryan is the heavy favorite.
Prediction Markets
Betting markets are telling a similar story. As of July 30, Kalshi placed Democrats' odds of taking the seat at 96%.
