The union represents approximately 5,500 health care workers at kaiser, ST. Charles health and peacehealth facilities in the greater portland, oregon and vancouver, washington AREA as well as BEND, oregon. The union employed full-time staff to serve members' needs and to provide representation in accordance with collective bargaining agreements. The local keeps members informed about workplace issues and labor management relations through meetings, publications, ETC. The union also provides contractual, employment related, legal assistance and increases membership through recruiting prospective members and organizing new bargaining units. The local negotiates contracts for members through the collective bargaining process.
