About
The objects and purposes of this corporation are to maintain, promote, extend and protect the interests of the restaurant and like industries; and pursuant to such objects and purposes to establish and promote confidence and cooperation, and to foster and perpetuate a fraternal sentiment among its members; to establish and maintain intimate and friendly business and social relations among its members; to provide means for general discussion and exchange of ideas pertaining to the industries in which its members are interested; to aid and assist the members in securing competent employees, and in fostering a friendly spirit among the employees and of the members; to protect its members against fraud and deceit practiced by unscrupulous guests; to stimulate a public interest in the restaurant industry; to do or engage in ANY ACT or thing or enterprise which in the opinion of the directors shall appear to be for the benefit of the restaurant industry generally; to employ ALL the necessary means and agencies to carry out the foregoing powers, including the power to collect, borrow and disburse monies for said purposes; to provide for the election of members in accordance with the provisions as SET forth in the by-LAWS of the corporation; and in pursuance of its purpose to purchase, acquire, RENT, own, hold, lease, sell, convey, mortgage, occupy, control, exchange, develop, and improve real and other property, and to erect, construct, and maintain such necessary, buildings, improvements, and devices as shall be necessary to appropriate for the purposes of said corporation.
