The organization is a supporting organization to CPDC, a 501(c)(3) organization formed to promote and preserve safe, affordable housing for low- and moderate-income individuals and families. As a supporting organization, community housing INC. (CHI) provides technical assistance to CPDC and other related entities in the development and asset management of low income housing, including efforts to expand the availability of, and access to renewable energy sources at affordable housing developments it OWNS, controls, or manages.
