The corporation is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code of 1986, as amended. Specifically, the corporation has been formed for the benefit of president and fellows of harvard college ("harvard university") in order to conduct, support and facilitate educational and research activities within and outside of the united states, and to receive grants from organizations, including government agencies located within and outside of the united states.
