About

NPT is a public charity whose mission is to increase philanthropy in society. To accomplish this mission, NPT offers a variety of giving vehicles including donor-advised funds (DAFS), designated funds, supporting organizations and specialized field of interest funds. NPT's two international affiliates, national philanthropic trust UK and NPT transatlantic, share this mission and are committed to bringing DAFS to the global philanthropic market. NPT, and each of its affiliates, are LED by their respective boards of trustees, comprised of nationally and internationally known experts in philanthropy and business. NPT also offers philanthropic guidance and services that help both individual donors and their advisors maximize their charitable impact. By removing administrative burdens and increasing overall awareness of charitable giving needs and strategies, NPT helps enable individuals, families and companies to better pursue their philanthropic interests. NPT also provides information to the general public regarding philanthropic issues and trends. Since 1996, national philanthropic trust has helped individuals, families, foundations and corporations reach their philanthropic goals and maximize their charitable giving. Today, it is the nation's largest independent public charity that manages DAFS and is among the largest grantmaking institutions in the united states, having partnered with some of the world's largest financial institutions to offer donor-advised funds to their clients. Since NPT's inception, its donors have recommended more than 640,000 grants totaling over $25 billion to charitable organizations globally.
