NCIF NFP, INC. Shallfunction as a "supporting organization," within the meaning of section509(a)(3) of the code, of the national community investment fund(NCIF), a trust formed under the LAWS of illinois pursuant to a trustinstrument dated september 19, 1995. The corporation shall carry outthe charitable activities (as defined in section 170(c)(2) of the code)in support of NCIF, including the following: (i) issue DEBT, solicitand receive charitable contributions and philanthropic grants, and usethe funds raised to make loans or grants to NCIF to support thecharitable activities of NCIF, (II) operate a loan LOSS reserve programby which NCIF (and its 100% owned subsidiaries) may transfer to thecorporation the risk of LOSS on the loans that NCIF or its 100% ownedsubsidiaries makes as part of its charitable activities, (III) otheractivities to support the charitable activities of NCIF.
