The objectives and purposes of the foundation are to: engage in research, technical assistance, and educational activity for the benefit of state legislatures and the general public; provide services to members and staff of the state legislatures as may be appropriate and consistent with the provisions of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code; receive, invest and administer property of ANY kind; and to obtain and distribute the income and principal of these purposes and objectives.
