Realdania strives to improve quality of life for ALL through the built environment. Realdania's philanthropic activities focus on the quality of life "in" the buildings, "between" the buildings and in urban and rural settings with the overall goal of benefitting the common good. Realdania seeks to generate long-term qualities through value-creating processes. Realdania's projects MUST create value, make a difference and benefit a wide range of users. The objective is to ensure that projects are socially and economically sustainable, as well as sustainable in terms of their environmental impact and use of resources. Realdania's two main goals are the following: -to support initiatives aimed at benefitting the common good in the built environment across denmark and, in certain special cases, abroad. -to make investments with the objective of maximizing realdania's return. Realdania's philanthropic strategy is focused on three main areas: the city, buildings and the built heritage. Guided by these goals, realdania addresses such issues as innovative new construction, applicable innovations, good restoration methods, quality architecture and craftsmanship, improved process management, visionary urban development, research, communication and many other topics. Realdania AIMS to generate development and change: -through partnerships and networks -based on dialogue and knowledge -through a proactive effort -based on openness and transparency as a result, realdania brings both professional and economic resources to the projects that it takes on, and assumes a shared responsibility for ensuring that realdania's support leads to good and lasting results. Realdania also places priority on promoting active interactions among enthusiasts, municipalities, institutions, business, and industry and trade organizations.
