A close affiliation of ALL workers and technicians engaged in the steamfitting/pipefitting trade; heating, ventilation/AIR conditioning, instrument calibration, valve repair, energy management and service and maintenance; the furtherance of the interests of its members by education and cooperation; the making of agreements with employers engaged in the steamfitting/pipefitting trade, heating, ventilation/AIR conditioning, instrument calibration, valve repair, energy management and service and maintenance, so that ALL concerned may work in harmony; the training of the apprentices in the steamfitting/pipefitting trade in a practical and thorough manner; the protection of the general public and ALL concerned against unfair and unscrupulous labor and poor workmanship; to render moral and financial support to other labor organizations and to organizations engaged in or promoting philanthropy, political education and legislation in the BEST interests of working men and women.
