Routine transports are provided to the AREA VIA four wheelchair VANS, one transport MICU, and three NON-emergency ambulances. Billing services are provided to AREA ambulance as well. Their staff consists of over 100 employees that include ACLS, PALS & CPR educators, paramedics, EMT's, dispatchers, billing and office staff. Williamsport AREA ambulance service cooperative transports emergency and NON-emergency patients in the greater lycoming county AREA through the county 911 system. For FY 2024, waasc transported 7,685 emergency patients and 6,348 NON-emergency patients. Williamsport AREA ambulance provides several services for the community. . PA state licensed critical care ground transport service . Advanced life support emergency and NON-emergency response . Basic life support emergency and NON-emergency response . EMS billing . Medical direction for BLS agencies . EMS education that includes: o basic life support o advanced cardiac life support o pediatric advanced life support o prehospital trauma life support o tactical emergency casualty care o stop the bleed . Monthly continuing education classes . Bariatric transport services . Wheelchair and stretcher VAN transports . Stand-by medics at special events williamsport AREA ambulance cooperative is licensed in the state of pennsylvania to provide emergency medical services, with the public utilities commission, and are listed as an american heart association training center. On an annual basis waasc devotes a portion of its revenue and assets to community program services.
