To organize, supervise, and coordinate the activities and affairs of affiliated local unions, to improve the wages and hours of work, to increase job security and to better the working and living conditions of the members of its affiliated local unions, to establish and maintain collective bargaining with employers within its jurisdiction, to organize unorganized workers, to promote health, security, economic, cultural, legislative, educational, social, political, recreational interests of workers and their families.
