Minnesotans can barely afford the basics and this is what we get from the White House? Time for them to get off Canva and start actually doing their jobs.

We’ve seen it time and time again from this administration — lawless government overreach in the name of political retribution. This is beyond the pale, even for them. It’s time to stop the attacks on our state and our elected representatives. https://t.co/9g3K7qQBHe

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we celebrate the communities who have called Minnesota home for centuries and recognize their resilience as they faced unthinkable injustice. Their contributions and rich culture continue to shape our nation to this day. Today and every day, I stand with Minnesota’s Tribal communities.

My wife Cheryl and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community as we celebrate National Coming Out Day. I will always work to make sure every Minnesotan has the freedom to be who they are and love who they love. 🏳️‍🌈🌈

Proud to have earned an “A” grade on Defend the Vote’s 2026 legislative scorecard! I’ll always support legislation to crack down on corruption, protect Minnesotans’ access to the ballot box and clean up Washington.

More rants. More racist rhetoric. More political retribution. Meanwhile, the greatest threat to Minnesota is this administration.

Today marks three years since Hamas targeted Israeli civilians in the horrific October 7th attacks. As we remember the more than 1,200 lives lost and the countless lives changed forever that day, we must commit to fighting antisemitism and hatred in all its forms and continue working toward lasting peace in the Middle East.

I am grateful to law enforcement for stopping the planned terror attack at the Mall of America. Their quick work and vigilance saved countless lives. Keeping Minnesotans safe means investing in coordinated counterterrorism and violent crime prevention efforts, and I will continue working to give law enforcement the resources they need to do just that.

I’m proud to announce that my office secured more than $2.2 million in federal grants to hire firefighters for the Rosemount Fire Department! I also got word this week that the Lakeville, Shakopee and Woodbury Fire Departments will receive federal grants. Altogether, that’s more than $3.7 million back to fire departments in CD2! This funding will create jobs, protect our firefighters and help keep communities across Minnesota’s Second District safe.

October is LGBTQ+ history month, a chance for us to celebrate the brave folks who have stood up and fought for equal rights, protections and acceptance for our community. We’ve come a long way in this fight, but there’s still more work to do. Together, we’ll keep working toward a future where every Minnesotan can be who they are and love who they love. 🌈🩷

Cheryl and I are keeping the students, teachers and families impacted by last night’s shooting in Eden Prairie in our prayers today. No homecoming celebration should end with gun violence. We’ve got to do better for our kids and pass common sense gun control in this country.

Another disappointing jobs report. Unemployment ticked up to 4.2%, job growth slowed (again) and Minnesotans are feeling it. President Trump promised a Golden Age — yet opportunities are dwindling, prices are rising and folks can’t keep up. Minnesotans deserve better.

Press Release
Rep. Craig Secures Nearly $2.3 Million In Federal Funding For Rosemount Fire Department To Hire Additional Firefighters

EAGAN, MN – Today, U.S. Representative Angie Craig announced that her office secured $2,290,047 in federal funding for the Rosemount Fire Department. The funding, which came through the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant program will be used to hire nine additional firefighters as the city continues to grow, ensuring that the department can have at least 24 firefighters on duty at all hours. Rep. Craig wrote a letter of support on behalf of the Rosemount Fire Department in June. “I am excited to announce that the Rosemount Fire Department will receive critical federal funding to hire more firefighters and ensure the department has adequate staff as Rosemount continues to grow,” said Rep. Craig. “Every day, our firefighters run into danger to save lives, and I couldn’t be prouder to have helped secure this funding that will keep our firefighters and our communities safe.” This week, FEMA also announced it has awarded grants to three additional fire departments in MN-02. The Lakeville Fire Department will receive $1,315,103 through the SAFER grant program. The Shakopee Fire Department will receive $81,818 and the Woodbury Fire Department will receive $55,680 through the Assistance to Firefighters (AFG) grant program. ###

I’m thrilled, but not surprised, that the Lynx’s own Cheryl Reeve was named WNBA Coach of the Year (again!) and Olivia Miles was unanimously voted WNBA Rookie of the Year! Not only have these two had a historic, record-breaking season – they also led the Lynx to the top seed in the playoffs. Cheryl and Olivia, Minnesota couldn’t be prouder of you. P.S. Can’t wait to watch you take down the Liberty tonight!

President Trump’s vanity projects are slated to cost over $1.8 billion of your tax dollars. That same amount of money could pay for: - 600+ million school lunches - 12 million Americans’ electric bills for one month - A full year of medical bills for 88,000 veterans - 27,000+ new firefighters or schoolteachers - 35+ million tanks of gas for a typical sedan Minnesotans want a life they can afford – not an algae-green Reflecting Pool and a ballroom built for billionaires.
