This whole thing was a disgusting attempt at machismo from Pete Hegseth in the first place. I'm glad it was reversed. Now, Hegseth can look forward to getting impeached by the House... assuming Trump doesn't try to scapegoat him for the war in Iran and fire him first.
It has now been 300 days since the DOJ was legally required to release the entirety of the Epstein files. We’re not going to give up our fight to hold this administration accountable for their coverup and give the victims the justice they deserve. Release the files.

Medicare Advantage plans need major reform. We’ve seen how so many of them don’t work for rural communities, like in Vermont. But why are our options driven by profit in the first place? Everyone should be able to access high-quality care. We need Medicare for All. https://t.co/TPOQA9tdea
I’m a proud Medicare for All supporter. But as we fight for it, there are other things we can and must do to bring down the cost of care now. https://t.co/rJ4Oseudy1
This begs several very important questions: Is this data being delayed because it contradicts the party line? Or because the admin gutted federal agency staff? Why is the Treasury Dept even involved here? The American people deserve transparency from their own government.
I was heartbroken after Tropical Storm Irene devastated Melrose Terrace. But I couldn’t be prouder to be playing a part in the neighborhood’s rebirth as West Brattleboro Terrace. https://t.co/9HobCejnI9

I don’t think it’s radical to say that this is unacceptable. No individual person should be able to spend $276 million in a single cycle to influence the outcome of our elections. Our politics should be a level playing field for all - not a sand box for the ultra-rich. https://t.co/ywUJb6mC7Y
I’m so grateful for the roundtable we hosted today in Brattleboro with leaders from both sides of the U.S.-Canada border. We talked about a lot of the economic pinch points and I really got a sense of what we need the path forward to be. 🇺🇸🇨🇦 https://t.co/4ZSDCOZgAW
Earlier today, I was honored to host @RepMcGovern, Canadian Consul General @BernJordanCG, the Quebec Government Office’s Olivia Dion, and small businesses from both Vermont and Massachusetts in Brattleboro. We visited Allard Lumber in town and had a very important roundtable conversation about the U.S.-Canada relationship and the impacts of the trade war on folks on both sides of the border. We heard repeatedly that businesses need stability. The constant and abrupt changes to our trade policy deprive businesses of the opportunity to plan ahead. It’s forcing them to take their attention away from serving their customers just to navigate all the red tape. Nevertheless, the economic, community and personal ties between our two countries remain strong. Vermont and Canada have been interconnected for generations and we’re doing everything we can to keep it that way.
We must dismantle ICE. ICE was only created in 2003. We did immigration before ICE and we can do immigration enforcement without ICE. Vermonters want a functioning, compassionate immigration system, and what we have now just isn't it. https://t.co/zIYyCaf2jg
I’m proud to be spending today celebrating Indigenous People’s Day and honoring the limitless contributions that indigenous cultures, histories, and communities have made to our state and nation. https://t.co/aYkd2g3DgM
Raiding a Congresswoman’s house right before an election (reportedly) over paperwork her late father filled out when she was a child is a shocking abuse of power.
Happy National Coming Out Day! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ I wanted to take this opportunity to share my coming out story and send my love to all the people who are in the closet today. May you all find the support, love, and community you deserve! https://t.co/bMbmAz7SUd
Vermonters pay some of the highest health care costs in the nation. And the Republicans’ so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill” has made things worse, like by gutting $1 trillion from Medicaid. https://t.co/X0cOiU1VhT
Clearly, these AI systems are faulty or broken products. We already have laws on the books to protect us from stuff like this. It’s only a question of whether or not we’re willing to enforce them. https://t.co/BWD8Y8NpD3
Happy Fall, Vermonters! 🍁 https://t.co/QcQRXbuMkJ
When you look at it as a whole, the so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill” was a disaster for Vermonters. The majority of it is geared towards the ultra-wealthy and the rest of us have ultimately had to pay the price for it. https://t.co/fHmxeMnZwj
Pete Hegseth’s disturbing decision to livestream a firing squad execution is an authoritarian attempt to make us feel numb to violence and bloodshed. We can’t become desensitized. https://t.co/iPUs36xt8S
Recent reporting shines even more light into just how far Stephen Miller is willing to go to make life as miserable as possible for people in immigration detention. It’s inhumane and we can’t let this depravity become normalized. https://t.co/g9cUXX1Tqe
How can we immediately address affordability for Vermonters? By ending Trump’s illegal war in Iran and his asinine tariff regime with Canada and other countries around the world. https://t.co/oPy4tdB2mT
Let’s go Janoo! Had a great time kicking off a town hall this week in my hometown of Brattleboro. https://t.co/JfCwKhSelY
Hey, @jonlovett. I promise I’m not offended. I’m just honored to have been grouped together with other trailblazing women, @SenLBR and @Rep_McBride 😉 https://t.co/wfy6JCglm1
I live in Brattleboro and have represented it in office for years – first as a state senator and now as Congresswoman. It was my honor to secure $1.75 million for the new West Brattleboro Terrace that will provide affordable homes for seniors in our community for years to come.
