Thanks @LisaForCongress and the great volunteers helping Team Huizenga on this beautiful #PureMichigan day! #MI04
Hasan is a terrorist who has been convicted of his heinous crimes. He deserves the death penalty; however, death should not be a spectacle. It would be undignified for the U.S. federal government to go through with this live stream, especially if it has the potential to inspire future attacks by individuals who wish to gain global notoriety by doing harm to Americans and our service members on our home soil.
Three years ago today, approximately 1,200 lives were lost in a heinous terrorist attack by Hamas in Israel. Today, we remember those brutally murdered, the families shattered, and the unimaginable horror that survivors endured. The passage of time must never diminish our resolve to confront antisemitism and hateful ideologies such as those put forward by radical jihadists and terrorist organizations like Hamas.
It was great to hit the doors yesterday in Battle Creek during a break in the rain! Thank you to my friend State Representative Steve Frisbie for joining me to speak with voters! https://t.co/ssNTk4sbC3
Thank you @epaleezeldin for visiting this very successful project cleaning up the Kalamazoo River. There is more work to do but we deeply appreciate the time and attention you and @eparegion5 have given to this important effort! #PureMichigan #GLRI #GreatLakes
Good - now let your political opponents out of jail.
Tax Man Sean McCann voted to let energy companies raise rates on Michigan families to the tune of more than $800 Million. While Michigan families got hit the highest energy bills in the Midwest, Tax Man McCann pocketed thousands in campaign cash from the very energy companies raising rates on Michiganders.
Praying for a full recovery for the pilot and the safety of all those responding to the crash site.
Happy Constitution Day! Today marks 239 years since our Founding Fathers signed the Constitution in Philadelphia, establishing the framework for our republic. Its enduring principles of limited government, checks and balances, and individual liberty have helped shape generations of American life. From the freedom to speak our minds to the freedom to practice our faith, its protections remain central to who we are as a nation. Today, we celebrate our Constitution and its opening words, “We the People,” a reminder that government is accountable to the Americans it serves.
Glad you are safe my friend @TomTiffanyWI !! Continued Blessings to you and the Team!
Twenty-five years ago, our nation was forever changed. On September 11th, nearly 3,000 people were spending time with their friends, families, and loved ones for what would be the last time. For those of us who saw these tragic events unfold on national tv, the memories remain vivid. We remember watching in disbelief as a second plane struck the World Trade Center. We remember the smoke rising from the Pentagon and learning that another plane had gone down near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Across Southwest Michigan, friends. families, and communities, watched in disbelief. We prayed for our nation, our neighbors, and those directly impacted by his tragic day. A quarter-century later, an entire generation of Americans know September 11 only as history. We promised to never forget, and part of that promise is ensuring we teach younger Americans about the events that transpired. Our children and grandchildren should know about the passengers aboard Flight 93 who fought back. They should know about ordinary Americans who helped complete strangers in a time of crisis. Teaching the next generation also means understanding what happened afterward too. Across Southwest Michigan and the nation, Americans displayed the flag, gathered in churches, donated blood, and checked on their neighbors. At one of our darkest moments, Americans showed what courage, service, faith, and patriotism looked like. Today, parents, grandparents, teachers, and veterans across Southwest Michigan have an important responsibility. We cannot allow September 11th to merely become a chapter in a history book. We owe it to those who never came home, to the heroes who ran toward danger, and to friends and families who carry the memory of their lost loved ones forward. We must tell the next generation what happened that day, how our nation responded, and how every day Americans came together to meet the moment.
One year ago today, Charlie Kirk was assassinated while speaking to students at Utah Valley University. His murder shocked our nation and robbed a wife of her husband, children of their father, and millions of Americans of a powerful voice for faith, freedom, and the importance of standing up for what you believe. Charlie understood something important about America: disagreement should lead to debate, not hatred or violence. He went directly onto college campuses, including places where many strongly disagreed with him, and made the case for his values face-to-face. He inspired countless young Americans to get involved, ask questions, defend their faith, and refuse to be intimidated into silence. I saw that influence personally, including with my own children. A year later, Charlie’s absence is still deeply felt, but the ideas and movement he helped build have not disappeared. Students and Americans across the country continue gathering in his memory and carrying on the work he devoted his life to. Political violence has no place in the United States. We can disagree passionately about politics, policy, and the direction of our country without treating those on the other side as enemies. Today, I am praying for Erika, their children, the entire Kirk family, and everyone who loved Charlie. May we remember his life by defending our freedoms, speaking the truth without fear, and never surrendering the right of Americans to peacefully make their voices heard.

Reshoring manufacturing and equipping American workers with in-demand skills will help rebuild America’s middle class and play a key role in powering our economy into the future. I introduced, HR 9096, the American Manufacturing Revitalization Exchange Program Act to strengthen American manufacturing and increase both opportunity and prosperity for hardworking Americans!
Check out our new TV ad, “Gravel!” As a third generation small business owner, I know excuses don’t cut it. So I’ve been hard at work to hold Washington accountable and bring both parties together to deliver for Southwest Michigan. https://t.co/fB5aj03wLT

As a Co-Chair of the House Great Lakes Task Force, I remain committed to protecting and strengthening all of the Great Lakes. I also strongly encourage both my Canadian friends and my American colleagues to return to the negotiating table to hammer out a trade deal that works for both countries and delivers meaningful results for American farmers, families, and manufacturers.
