I really enjoyed my visit to Interstate Regional Stockyards in Crawford County, where I had the opportunity to watch a live cattle auction and speak with stockyards owner Scott Abolt, members of the Crawford County Commission, Sheriff Layman, Mayor Pitts Lesane, and local business and agricultural leaders about the importance of supporting Missouri’s livestock producers and strengthening our state’s agricultural industry.

For six decades, the @Mizzou Research Reactor (MURR) has been at the forefront of groundbreaking nuclear research and medical innovation. As the only U.S. producer of isotopes used to treat liver, thyroid, prostate, and pancreatic cancers, MURR helps one million patients every year. I appreciated the opportunity to speak at MURR’s 60th anniversary celebration about the importance of supporting cutting-edge research right here in Missouri and producing these lifesaving treatments in America to ensure patients across our state and the nation have reliable access to the care they need.

I had a productive meeting with members of the Callaway County Commission to discuss the latest developments on a new Emergency Operations Center in #MO03 that will strengthen emergency preparedness and ensure local emergency responders have the resources they need to keep Missouri families safe.

I had the opportunity to tour Cottleville with Mayor Stephen Thompson, meet with local business owners, discuss the city’s continued growth, and see firsthand the work being done to strengthen our community. Hearing directly from the Missourians I represent helps me better understand their priorities and how I can continue advocating for #MO03 in Washington to ensure our communities have the resources they need to thrive.

Our Navy’s greatest asset has always been the brave men and women who wear the uniform. Their courage, discipline, and willingness to sacrifice for a cause greater than themselves embody the very best of American greatness. Happy 251st birthday to the @USNavy! For more than two and a half centuries, the United States Navy has defended our nation, safeguarded our freedoms, and remained a formidable force for American strength around the world. Today, we honor the generations of sailors who have answered the call to serve and continue to defend the freedoms our Founding Fathers fought to protect.

I enjoyed meeting with Ron Black of the @NSPE to discuss the important role Missouri’s engineers play in strengthening our infrastructure, driving innovation, and supporting economic growth. With so much new development underway across #MO03, the expertise and hard work of our engineers are critical to turning these projects into reality and helping our communities continue to grow and thrive.

It was an honor to meet with Cottleville Chief of Police Dave McCune to discuss the important work his department is doing to keep the community safe and thank him and his officers for their dedicated service. Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day to protect Missouri families and keep our communities safe. I remain committed to standing with our men and women in blue and ensuring they have the necessary resources and support.

Today, on Columbus Day, we recognize the courage and determination of Christopher Columbus, whose historic 1492 voyage connected the Old World and the New World. His voyage helped set in motion the events that ultimately led to the establishment of the American colonies and the founding of the United States. We honor his spirit of exploration and willingness to venture into the unknown, which forever changed the course of history.

I enjoyed catching up with Mayor Stephen Thompson and local business leaders from Great Southern Bank, Frontline Inspections, Leaps & Bounds, Peoples Bank & Trust, MaidPro, Forest Park Capital, and Autumn and Blues at the Cottleville-Weldon Spring Chamber of Commerce! We had a great discussion about how we can continue working together to support our local businesses and strengthen #MO03.

The alleged actions of these two illegal aliens are absolutely heinous. This has unfortunately become far too common in our nation. Our prayers are with the victim, a 17-year-old girl and her family. I commend the Washington County Sheriff’s office for their quick action and hope for swift justice. I have great respect for Judge Wolf, a former SLU Law professor of mine. But “everyone knows” that MO’s protections of minors from gender-rejecting procedures had a sunset clause, and equally that “reproductive health” provisions in ‘24 amendment will be used to strike down same.

I had the pleasure of visiting Appliance Outlet Superstore and meeting with the owner, Tyler Monda. It was great to learn more about his business and hear about the work he is doing to serve customers and families in our community. Thank you to Tyler for taking the time to meet with me and share his story. Local businesses like Appliance Outlet Superstore play such an important role in keeping our community strong!

I had such a great time visiting Brewer Science in Maries County and learning more about their work developing next-generation materials. Since 1981, Brewer science has been at the forefront of innovation in advanced packaging and smart devices, making an impact in industries around the world. Thank you for allowing me to hear about all the incredible work that you do and for all the things you do to give back to the community. It is inspiring to see a Missouri company making a global impact while remaining dedicated to the people and communities here at home!

It was an honor to stop by the Cuba Chamber of Commerce lunch at the Cuba Fire House to speak with constituents during Fire Safety Month and discuss the importance of fire safety in our community. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all our volunteer firefighters for the time, dedication, and hard work they put in to protect our families and neighborhoods. Your willingness to serve and keep our communities safe does not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for all that you do.

I had a wonderful time visiting Clenin Farm Supply with Mayor Mike Staton, Prosecuting Attorney Derik Kinde, Jake Vogel, and State Representative Willard Haley. It was great hearing directly from a local business serving farmers, and families and learning more about the work they are doing to support our community. Thank you to Tyler Clenin for taking the time to share Clenin Farm’s story and for their continued commitment to Missouri agriculture and the local community.

It was a pleasure to meet with Burger Smokehouse and Pittman Farms at Grind Coffee and Bistro. I appreciated the opportunity to hear about the work they are doing and the work they plan on doing to strengthen our community. Thank you for sharing your experiences and for the hard work you do to support Missouri families, agriculture, and local communities. I had a great time visiting Co-Mo Connect and learning about their longstanding commitment to serving communities across the region. For generations, Co-Mo Connect has worked to provide reliable electric power and internet connections, helping families, farmers and businesses stay connected. Thank you to Co-Mo Connect for taking the time to speak with me and for the many years of service you have provided our community.

Three years ago, the world watched in horror as Hamas terrorists tortured and murdered over 1,200 people and took over 250 as hostages, including many women and children. These acts of terror marked the deadliest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. We must continue to remember the victims, and pray for Israel and the brave men and women protecting it. May we never forget the pure evil we witnessed on October 7, 2023.
