Amazing news for homegrown energy! @EPA's proposal of 100% reallocation for additional 2025 Small Refinery Exemption volumes will not only provide stable markets for my fellow farmers but also lowers fuel prices at the pump for consumers across the country. ⬇️

I recently joined Guy Sing, the VSO for Olmsted County, for a great conversation on Olmsted County Veteran Services. The Veterans Services Office plays a critical role in advocating for the interests and welfare of U.S. Armed Forces veterans and their families. I appreciated the opportunity to hear more about their work to support the men and women who have served this country. Thanks for meeting with me!

Last week, President Trump took action to provide harvest-season relief by allowing red-dyed diesel for on-road use, delivering farmers meaningful savings. While Iowa, Illinois, and Nebraska have acted, Governor Tim Walz refuses to follow suit. Once again, Gov. Walz is putting politics ahead of Minnesota farmers. Read our letter calling for action ⬇️

The choice is clear: Jake Johnson wants higher taxes and more of Tim Walz’s failed policies. I’m fighting to grow our economy, protect our way of life, and improve our backyard for future generations. With Election Day just three weeks away, this congressional seat doesn't belong to Jake Johnson, Tim Walz, the Democrat Party, or their political interests. It belongs to the 750,000 people of southern Minnesota, and I'm proud to fight for you every single day. I look forward to earning your vote on November 3rd! #MN01

As Rochester continues to grow, we need infrastructure that keeps up with that growth, improves mobility, and supports residents and local businesses. Last week in Rochester, we celebrated the 6th Street Bridge Project’s $19.9 million in federal funding that I helped deliver, which will be used for the design and construction of a bridge to connect neighbors across the Zumbro River. I’m proud to support projects that will deliver real results for southern Minnesotans, and I’ll continue to advocate for infrastructure improvements throughout #MN01 that make our towns and cities even better places to live for future generations.

Happy National Farmer’s Day! It’s an honor to be one of the very few active farmers in Congress representing my fellow southern Minnesota producers. As a member of @HouseAgGOP and strong supporter of the Working Families Tax Cuts, which delivered the largest investment in the farm safety net since the 2002 Farm Bill, I’ve delivered commonsense, meaningful legislation that empowers the men and women who feed and fuel the world. I’ll continue working with my colleagues in Washington and listening to farmers in Minnesota’s First District to deliver these wins time and time again.

In my remarks at the @mngop Lincoln Reagan dinner, I said that this election is about common sense versus crazy. That contrast was on full display as radical leftists stormed the stage in an attempt to take over the event to intimidate and scare people. Their disruption left everyone in the room even more convinced that Minnesota needs to turn the page on Democrat lawlessness. #MN01

It is a disgrace what the Walz-Flanagan administration has done to the taxpayers of our state. Devastating fraud, higher taxes, and wasteful spending. I’m leading the charge in Congress to hold fraudsters and their enablers in office accountable. Watch my full response from last night’s debate below. #MN01

Great to be in Mankato this week to visit the Mankato Regional Airport (MKT) and check out the site of their proposed air traffic control tower – a project I secured $3.5 million for during the FY26 appropriations process. MKT has become the second busiest airport in the state for takeoffs and touchdowns behind MSP, making this a much-needed addition for improved safety.

Thank you to everyone in attendance at yesterday’s Rural Water Roundtable in Eagle Lake, especially my friend @RepDustyJohnson, for joining me in #MN01 and hearing from Minnesotans about the importance of strong, reliable water systems in our communities. In the FY26 appropriations process, I secured $11.4 million in funding for rural water infrastructure projects across southern Minnesota, and I appreciated yesterday’s conversation to hear how these dollars are positively impacting residents across the First District.

Finstad Introduces the Safeguarding Technology from CCP Influence Act

October 6, 2026 WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brad Finstad (MN-01) introduced the Safeguarding Technology from CCP Influence Act, legislation that would prohibit the U.S. government from purchasing computers and printers from companies that are linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). “It’s deeply concerning that well-known, household names in the technology industry are closely affiliated with communist China and pose significant cyber espionage risks to our national security,” said Rep. Finstad. “We shouldn’t have to question the safety of our government technology. That’s why my bill, the Safeguarding Technology from CCP Influence Act, puts our cybersecurity first by prohibiting the U.S. government from purchasing any computers or printers from companies linked to the Chinese Communist Party.” Read the bill text here. Last week, I joined a Q&A session in Trimont, hosted by my friends at @MNFarmBureau. As a fourth-generation farmer and member of @HouseAgGOP, I’ve championed policies to help our #MN01 farmers, like the House-passed Farm Bill, year-round, nationwide E15, and repealing the egregious Prop 12 mandate. I appreciate having these meaningful conversations to hear more about how I can continue to advocate for our ag industry while serving in Washington, D.C.
