Today we honor Frances Xavier Cabrini, an inspiring Coloradan whose life was defined by service. Mother Cabrini dedicated her life to supporting immigrants, children, and families in need, including establishing an orphanage and summer camp here in Colorado. At a time when so many of our neighbors are struggling, her legacy of compassion and service remains as important as ever and continues to inspire us all.
Thanks to everyone who showed up to support @Story4CO and @Lieder4CO! These are our most competitive races in Jeffco this year and it's essential we do everything we can to get them across the finish line. Ballots drop this week 💪 https://t.co/M0BKEzrL12
We are fired up and ready to go! Jeffco, Broomfield, and Adams County Dems are working to make sure we elect Democrats up and down the ticket and ensure that @GabeforColorado is a one-term member of Congress. Ballots drop this week! https://t.co/MJMwaYmqiQ
Like you, I’m getting messages with lies about Proposition 132. This would criminalize addiction, significantly expand private prisons, and would not give a dollar to treatment. If you want to know how I really feel, read my response. Please vote NO! https://t.co/ugUCLuHk8Z
Families are already underwater in Trump's economy, but his Administration just keeps making it worse. Starting today, more families will be kicked off their healthcare and food benefits. That's more veterans, seniors, and people with disabilities skipping meals and going hungry and more people skipping doctors visits and rationing their prescriptions. All in the wealthiest country in the world. I would invite any one of the Trump Administration officials to my district to look these families in the eye who are going hungry, going without care, unable to afford a safe place to live, unable to fill up their gas tanks, and unsure about the future. This is what they have done to our country. It's just disgraceful.
Huge congratulations to @RepLaMonica on the birth of her second child! Glad to welcome one more to a small group of women to give birth while in Congress. I know how tough, but rewarding this journey is—and she is doing it all while fearlessly standing up to the Trump Administration and fighting for her constituents. Constantly inspired by the badass moms around me! I'm sending so much love to you and your growing family, Rep. McIver!
Trump is willing to do anything to steal this election. The greatest insurance policy we have is not just to win but to win BIG. Ballots are being mailed out in just a few days. We must take back the US House to hold this criminal president accountable. Every vote matters.
Behind each of these stats is a child fighting for their life & a family desperately seeking help. To save lives, we must hold Big Tech accountable for how their platforms impact our kids & guarantee families have affordable access to quality support when they need it most. https://t.co/xalZc4G5ZN
Domestic violence is not a joke. This is disgusting and disqualifying. Republicans and Democrats alike should be calling this out for what it is.

We just experienced a summer of extreme weather & devastating wildfires — which will only keep getting worse as Trump decimates our efforts to fight climate change. The best thing you can do is make your emergency plan and prepare ahead of time. As we wrap up National Preparedness Month, we've put together a quick guide to help you protect your loved ones and stay informed during wildfire season and beyond. Visit our Wildfire Resource Hub for localized tools, emergency notification links, and more! https://t.co/yuWBgMqJnN
Food banks across the country are reaching a breaking point – all because Trump passed massive cuts to our food benefits & drove our economy into the ground. And for what? Just to hand a tax break to billionaires. We refuse to look away while our neighbors go hungry.
Families in Colorado and across the country are already begging for relief from skyrocketing costs. And now Trump is banning $1 billion worth of Canadian imports— just making things worse. Tariffs and trade bans are paid for by working families and by local small businesses just trying to keep their doors open. Coloradans need real relief, not more of Trump's reckless trade wars.
Deporting someone to a country they've never set foot in, with no family, no ties, and no guarantee of safety, is reckless cruelty. The Supreme Court's decision to allow this is deeply heartbreaking & dangerous. We cannot treat human lives like this. I will never stop fighting for basic due process, oversight, and an immigration system that actually respects and honors the rights of EVERY person.
I'm deeply honored to have @SEIUcolorado's endorsement. 35,000+ healthcare, airport, and state workers put everything into keeping our communities afloat. I'll never stop fighting for higher wages, fair treatment, and a Colorado where every working family can truly thrive. https://t.co/hyjIuwxSC7
Our seniors built our communities, and they deserve to retire with dignity, security, and real peace of mind. I was so glad to join the Colorado @ActiveRetirees for their annual convention to give an update on my work in DC. We talked about what we're doing to bring down the price of prescription drugs, protect Social Security, and safeguard Medicare so people can afford the care they need.
What's at stake right now is the very foundation of our country. @pweiser is right— we must stay vigilant. We're standing our ground in CO; we'll ensure every vote is counted. Proud to stand with leaders like our next governor who will fight for our democracy & freedoms.
Every student in Colorado and across the country deserves to feel safe, supported, and protected at school, no matter what. The @usedgov's decision to roll back Title IX protections for LGBTQ students is a devastating step backward. Our kids aren't political bargaining chips— I'll keep fighting to ensure EVERY student is protected under the law.
Trump has taken an axe to programs designed to support those who need it the most — our veterans, seniors, and Americans with disabilities. I'm so proud of the work @EastersealsCO is doing in our community. They have stepped up to fill those gaps, and I was so grateful to visit their facility and see firsthand the work they are doing to support our neighbors as more and more seek out their services.
When we invest in women, our entire state and our economy are stronger for it. I had such an inspiring time at the Women's Foundation of Colorado Annual Luncheon! Getting to be in a room full of people who care so deeply about lifting up women and families across Colorado gives me so much hope. I left feeling energized and ready to keep fighting for women across our state!
Technology is rapidly transforming our economy, and as policymakers, it's our job to ensure our workforce and local businesses have the tools they need to adapt and succeed. I was glad to join the Colorado Technology Association Annual Conference for a fireside chat on workforce development, innovation, and expanding economic opportunity for all Coloradans. Thank you to CTA for having me and for the great work they do in pushing Colorado forward!
Everyone deserves a place to call home—and for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, having independent living options is crucial. The Grove is an innovative housing community built specifically to empower young adults to live independently with community-based support. The Grove shows us what's possible when we put human needs first. I will keep pushing for federal investments to support even more Coloradans!
During National Recovery Month, I visited Advocates for Recovery Colorado in Lakewood to see the incredible, lifesaving work they do every single day. From free peer coaching to family support, they are giving people hope, second chances, and a safe place to heal. Unfortunately, Donald Trump and RFK Jr. are cutting the resources these types of programs rely on, and it means fewer people will get the help they need. But I'm fighting back. If you or a loved one are struggling, please know there is support out there – and I will always work to protect the programs that help make recovery possible.
Happy National Public Lands Day! Our public lands drive Colorado's economy and define our way of life, but they face real threats because of the Trump Administration's federal funding cuts. For our kids and our grandkids, we have to stand up to protect our public lands. I'll keep fighting in Congress to protect our open spaces and stand up for the essential workforce that cares for them every day!
From tariffs to immigration policy, our small businesses are facing real challenges right now. I was glad to hear from the @HispanicDenver about what some of our local business owners are experiencing on the ground, so I can use my position in Congress to advocate for them. While times are difficult, it is the everyday families and small business owners who give me hope that, if we stick together, we will make it through.
