📍Great conversation tonight in Penn Hills on the first stop of my Town Hall Tour. Rising costs, reckless wars, and restoring the American Dream are on ALL our minds right now—in Western Pennsylvania and across America. Excited to hear from folks in Carnegie and Beaver Falls next!

This bill with my fellow veterans couldn't come at a more critical time. Our active duty troops are defenders of freedom—and they must never be used as tools of intimidation on American streets or at polling places.

Republicans are running scared right now. And they should be. Listen to all these fired up, patriotic Democrats fighting for a better country. Great to see so many Allegheny County Democrats turn out to South Park for the Barnstormer Rally today! https://t.co/2LjFbvhr1t

Youth sports are a fundamental part of the American Dream, and we can't let Mom and Dad's bank account be the deciding factor for who gets to play. My Let Kids Play Act stops the rip off and goes after the vulture private equity investors trying to make youth sports a luxury.

This was always the goal of trickle down economics. We need to break the decades-long right-wing power that has pushed this scam on the American people.

Happy National Manufacturing Day! To the workers and manufacturers who have built and powered America for centuries: thank you for making the stuff that keeps our country running. I'm a member of the @Labor_Caucus and a proud son of Western PA, whose steel built this country—I'll always fight to reindustrialize America and honor those who do the work we’ll need to make it happen. 🇺🇸

Lebanon County Democrats, thank you for a great night! A good and decent life should not be a luxury in America…yet it is for too many. I’m proud to be fighting alongside you against the corrupt and powerful that made it that way. https://t.co/pwF7I7LBPg

Sat down with WLCH Radio Centro to talk with Lancaster’s Latino community about fighting for working people all over PA, and then got to join the fired up Democrats doing the work to win! Thank you, Lancaster! Let’s send @MaloneForSenate back to the State Senate and elect @bradforpa to the State House!

Takes a real coward to throw around pathetic homophobic insults like this. Good thing you can always count on union siblings from the building trades to stand up for an ally like @malcolmkenyatta — that’s what decent people do in the face of bigotry.

It took courage for these @IBEW workers to go on strike. They’ve more than earned a fair contract that protects their safety and their right to organize. @DuquesneLight should be at the bargaining table to deliver a fair contract now. Solidarity forever ✊

Last summer, DC Republicans put in place lots of new bureaucratic red tap to make it really hard for people to keep their healthcare. Why? To kick them off Medicaid to help pay for more tax breaks for the ultra-rich. These cuts start January 1st in Pennsylvania... 👇

Press Release
Deluzio, Lee Announce $11 Million More in Federal Funding for Safety Upgrades at Pittsburgh Airport

CARNEGIE, PA – Today, Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) and Congresswoman Summer Lee (PA-12) announced $11,023,181 in federal funding to upgrade thousands of feet of lighting and pavement on Runway 10L/28R at the Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), further modernizing Western Pennsylvanians’ go-to airport. The U.S. Department of Transportation awards this money through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The multi-phase funding will help extend the service life of the runway, minimize Foreign Object Debris (FOD), improve aircrafts’ ride quality, and make the airfield safer at Pittsburgh International Airport. “We in Western Pennsylvanians should be able to rely on the safety and reliability of our infrastructure,” said Congressman Deluzio. “That’s why I am excited to announce another round of federal funding that will help make the Pittsburgh Airport one of the safest and most modern airports in the world.” “Pittsburgh International Airport is one of the gateways to Western Pennsylvania, and the infrastructure behind it has to be safe, reliable, and ready for the people and workers who depend on it every single day,” said Congresswoman Lee. “This more than $11 million federal investment is exactly what public dollars should be doing: coming back home, strengthening the things our communities rely on, supporting good jobs, and making sure a major piece of our regional economy is built to last. I’m glad to see this funding headed home to Pittsburgh International Airport, and I’ll keep fighting to bring federal investment back to Western Pennsylvania.” “Airports across the country are part of national critical infrastructure and federal support is key in helping to keep the national airspace moving. Pittsburgh International Airport is an important economic driver for our region and this grant helps to fund airfield improvements at PIT including runway paving and upgrading lighting infrastructure. Thank you to Congressman Deluzio and our entire federal delegation for their continued support,” said Pittsburgh International Airport CEO Christina Cassotis. ###
