Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women, yet so many still go years without answers. Today, I was joined by my colleagues in reintroducing a bipartisan bill to raise awareness, push for earlier diagnosis, and improve access to care. Women deserve to be heard and to be treated sooner. https://t.co/OxZj6olcxk
At today’s @HouseAgDems hearing with CFTC Chairman Michael Selig, I pressed him on how the Commission handles and protects Americans' sensitive information. As our markets grow more complex, safeguarding proprietary data is essential. Watch our exchange here: https://t.co/zRBwalrNAR
I had the pleasure of meeting with Lawrenceville Mayor David Still and City Manager Chuck Warbington to discuss the city's FY2027 Community Project Funding request. I am proud to have requested funding for the Redland Creek Greenway Phase I Project, which will connect downtown Lawrenceville to Gwinnett County Discovery Park ensuring ADA accessibility and increasing local business.
Bad actors are becoming more sophisticated, and our regulators must keep up to combat threats and ensure sensitive information is protected. At today’s @USHouseFSC hearing, I asked Mr. Andrew Verstein about critical staffing shortages at the SEC and what it will take legislatively to address them. He emphasized the urgent need for both increased staffing and stronger safeguards against fraud and insider trading. My SEC Data Protection Act of 2025 will help ensure we meet that responsibility. House Democrats moved to pass a War Powers Resolution today to end the President’s war of choice, and Republicans blocked it. The American people have spoken; they do not want another endless war. Republicans must join us in voting YES to reign in the Trump Administration and maintain Congress’ constitutional authority.
Threatening the total destruction of a civilization is a dark and dangerous escalation that puts our service members and millions of civilians at risk. This isn’t diplomacy; it’s a reckless march toward a humanitarian disaster. Congress must end this by passing a War Powers Resolution NOW.
As Trump's War of Choice continues the great people of Georgia face another battle at home. Affordability. Gas prices have reached a national average of over $4 a gallon. As of last month, dirvers in Georgia have spent more thant $3 million on gas. This is unnacceptable. Affordability should be the standard, not a dream. The American people deserve better.
Happy National Public Health Week! This week, we celebrate the impact of public health and its dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe and healthy. As we celebrate, let us recognize that building a healthier future is a shared responsibility and reflect on all the great work that has been accomplished as well as the important work still left to do.
Happy Easter to all who celebrate! May this day bring our community together with hope and joy.
I am proud to share my 20 Community Project Funding requests for the 2027 Fiscal Year. My #1 priority will always be delivering real results for GA-13 families! Read more here⤵️: https://t.co/kI7msAnxoU
March is National Kidney Month, a time to raise awareness about kidney disease affecting 37 million Americans. Early detection matters, and simple screenings can save lives. Let’s stay informed, prioritize our health, and support those impacted by chronic kidney disease.
Trust is the foundation of our financial system. If the SEC’s data security is “ineffective,” that trust is at risk. I appreciate the fintech industry’s efforts but federal regulators must meet the same standard. View my exchange with Mr. Steve Boms. https://t.co/0YKZOUEVpf
Yesterday, I voted NO on the FY26 Homeland Security funding bill. After Republicans handed ICE a staggering $70 billion increase earlier this year, there is simply no justification for giving the agency billions more without meaningful reforms. My constituents have made clear that they will not support continued funding for aggressive enforcement tactics that put communities at risk and erode trust. Republicans also rejected basic safeguards to ensure U.S. citizens are not wrongfully detained or deported. Congress must not support funding that goes toward inhumane immigration enforcement.

I had a wonderful conversation with the Georgia Association of Broadcasters about the future of local broadcasting in Georgia. From keeping AM radio accessible in every vehicle to protecting locally owned stations from new fees, local media play a critical role in public safety, agriculture, and community connection. I’m proud to support policies that keep Georgia voices strong and on the air.
It's always great meeting with the Atlanta Community Food Bank! We discussed how incredible Food banks are doing to keep families and seniors fed across Georgia. I will keep fighting to protect programs like SNAP and TEFAP that help put food on the table for millions of Americans.

I always enjoy sitting down with our county leaders to discuss how we’re collaborating to deliver real results for GA-13. I had a great meeting with the Rockdale Board of Commissioners to discuss expanding veteran transportation, advancing the Rockdale Trail Connector, investing in education, and protecting our local roads. I was also glad to meet with the Clayton County Board of Commissioners to talk about critical transportation and stormwater infrastructure, safeguarding health care funding, and the federal investments we secured to strengthen public safety and pedestrian improvements across the county. Proud to partner with our local leaders to bring federal resources to our communities.
I am saddened to learn of the passing of Rev. Jesse Jackson, a tireless champion for justice and equality. His courage, vision, and unwavering commitment to civil rights lifted countless lives. His legacy will continue to inspire generations.
Yesterday, I sent a letter to Secretary Noem and Acting Director Lyons urging DHS to immediately halt the removal of GA resident & U.S. Army veteran Godfrey Wade. After 8 years of honorable service, Mr. Wade faces deportation without due process. Our system must uphold dignity & the rule of law. He must have his case heard.
Black history is American history. This month and beyond, we celebrate the contributions of Black Americans and acknowledge the strength and resilience that continue to define our country. https://t.co/KC8r1Jimg5
Under Kristi Noem's failed leadership, federal immigration enforcement operations have included multiple shootings of civilians, including fatal encounters in Minneapolis and other cities. In some, DHS officials have deeply contradicted first-hand accounts and video evidence, raising serious concerns regarding use of force and oversight. The militarization of ICE is eroding trust in our government and tearing families apart. This is why I voted NO to increase funding for ICE last week. We must have an independent investigation, accountability for any DHS officials and federal agents responsible, and an immediate end to militarized immigration raids.
I’m proud to bring $14 million back to GA-13 through 15 Community Project Funding projects. These investments will help fix roads, deliver clean drinking water, support our veterans, and create good-paying jobs. This is about delivering real results for working families and improving our district.
