Prince George’s County needs more housing that working families can actually afford. I hosted a housing roundtable with leaders across the housing industry to discuss the 21st Century Road to Housing Act and how we can turn federal housing policy into real progress here at home. https://t.co/W5OQiNuII9

A big win for Prince George’s County! A federal court has temporarily blocked the permanent closure of the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC), an important step in our fight to protect this vital institution. Thank you to our local partners who have worked tirelessly to protect BARC. This fight isn’t over, but today marks an important victory for our community.
Maryland’s history begins with the Indigenous peoples who first called this land home. This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor their enduring contributions to our state and nation, and reaffirm our commitment to preserving their heritage and protecting their rights.
The Secretary of Defense should be focused on ending this war of choice, bringing our men home, and addressing soaring gas prices. Instead, Pete Hegseth wants to turn an execution into a public spectacle. We are better than this.
I am heartbroken by the death of Julián Curo-Churata, a Laurel resident, husband, and father who died in ICE custody far from his family. My prayers are with his loved ones. His family deserves answers, and the American people deserve accountability and transparency. No one should lose their life in federal custody.
Happy National Space Week! We toured facilities across Florida’s Space Coast as part of the Nancy Grace Roman Telescope launch and saw firsthand the work driving America’s future in space. Continued investment in space exploration means new discoveries and new opportunities right here in Maryland.
Three years after the October 7 terrorist attacks on Israel, we remember the lives lost and all those whose lives have been shattered by the war that followed. We must continue working to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and achieve a lasting peace for Israelis and Palestinians.
Our democracy depends on checks and balances, accountability, and leaders who respect the rule of law. With so much at stake, this year's midterm elections are a critical moment for our country. The future of our democracy is on the line, and every voice deserves to be heard. https://t.co/do91zOxUfC
AI is changing everyday life for everyday people, yet they still don’t have a seat at the table. We need real oversight and accountability that puts people first. Innovation cannot come at the expense of the people it’s supposed to serve. https://t.co/KHl5lFQmoC
It was great to join the DC Chamber of Commerce’s “A View from the Hill” to discuss how decisions on Capitol Hill intersect with the needs of our regional economy. As new industries emerge and our workforce evolves, federal policy has to keep our region competitive. https://t.co/kFYjeRCn3I
No American city or life is expendable. Absolutely disgraceful.

This Banned Books Week, let’s celebrate those making books more accessible, not those trying to take them away. Proud to have MahoganyBooks, a Black-owned bookstore serving Prince George’s County at National Harbor and now at its new Woodmore location. 📚 https://t.co/5fJq1wQ6c5

Funny how quickly “rigged” mail-in voting became “SO IMPORTANT." Guess the polls will do that to you.
Today, we celebrate Pastor Henry P. Davis III on 26 years of pastoral leadership at First Baptist Church of Highland Park. Congratulations on this incredible milestone and many more years of service to come! https://t.co/hNSJmCxxV6
They call it the Protect College Sports Act. What it really is is the Protect College Profits Act. The bill would restrict athlete compensation, meanwhile coaches already making $13M have no caps on their salary. College athletes didn’t create this problem. We shouldn’t make them pay for it.
AI isn’t taking a 7 week recess. Congress shouldn’t either. We have bipartisan legislation on the table in the House to address the risks of AI. But we can’t debate it, improve it or pass it when Speaker Johnson sends the House home. We should be in Washington doing our jobs. Republicans are running from it.

I’ve been on the move recently, meeting with leaders across housing, health care and our military. No matter the topic, these conversations help me stay connected to the issues affecting Marylanders and the people working on them every day. https://t.co/cm5VrsDcFK

Two years ago, we helped secure federal funding for Insulators Local 24 to expand workforce training. Yesterday, we saw that investment in action. During Maryland Economic Development Week, I joined the City of Laurel to celebrate Local 24 and the good-paying careers they’re building.
Lose millions investing in the President’s scam of a memecoin just to buy corrupt access to the White House? Nope, I’m good! I’ll stick to my chili for lunch and doing the job the people of Maryland’s Fourth District elected me to do. https://t.co/OFNGGXOtHk
Congratulations to the Hyattsville/Landover Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi on the grand opening of the Kappa Community Development Center in Bowie! Proud to see my fellow Nupes continuing their long tradition of service and investing in the next generation right here at home. https://t.co/PVYWqXjsqm
