Boots on the ground for Florida! 🇺🇸🤠 What a night with the Clay County GOP at Red, White & Boots! I grew up on a cattle ranch, so a cattleman’s arena and a good pair of boots feel a whole lot like home. Thank you to my friend @AaronPBean and everyone from across Northeast Florida who came out. We talked about the work we’re doing in Washington, from securing the border to standing up for our farmers and ranchers. As the only Floridian on the House Agriculture Committee, I make sure our ag community is never an afterthought. There’s still plenty of work ahead, and it starts at the ballot box. Early voting in Clay County runs Oct. 23 through 31, and Election Day is Nov. 3. Grab your neighbors and get them to the polls. Let’s get to work, get out the vote, and KEEP FLORIDA RED! 🇺🇸

Florida voters, don't wait! If you've received your vote-by-mail ballot, take a few minutes to complete it and return it as soon as possible. Election Day is November 3rd, but you can make your voice heard today. Make sure your ballot is returned on time and your vote is counted! 🇺🇸 For more information on voting by mail in Florida visit: https://t.co/lMg91zWPTa

The fact that Congress isn't doing this already is INSANE. Background checks should be mandatory for House staff. Pass H.Res. 500. Hold Congress to the same standards as everyone else. It's common sense. https://t.co/Qjn513zyBg

Stronger infrastructure. Better storm preparedness. Less burden on local taxpayers. 🇺🇸 I secured $39.3 million in water and wastewater infrastructure authorization for Columbia and Suwannee counties in the House-passed Water Resources Development Act. In Suwannee County, these improvements would help support a new regional emergency shelter for seniors, special-needs evacuees, and families fleeing coastal hurricanes. By building infrastructure that can handle a surge in population during emergencies, we're helping our communities prepare for the next storm without sticking local taxpayers with the bill. https://t.co/oI9FStLxQH

Happy 251st birthday to the U.S. Navy! ⚓🇺🇸 Since 1775, America’s sailors have answered the call to defend our freedom, keep our sea lanes open, and keep our adversaries in check. Florida is proud to be home to so many who serve. Thousands of active duty sailors and even more veterans who chose to stay and raise their families here. We see you, and we’re grateful for you. To everyone who has worn the uniform, and to the families who held it down at home: thank you for your service and your sacrifice. I’ll always have your back in Congress.💪🇺🇸

Today, we honor their service, sacrifice, and commitment to keeping America safe. Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve!

Happy National Farmers Day! 🚜 🇺🇸 North Central Florida runs on agriculture. Our farmers and ranchers are up before the sun and still working after it sets. They've weathered hit after hit from hurricanes and freezes, and they've never once walked away from the land. As the only Floridian on the House Agriculture Committee, I carry their fight with me every day. I helped secure more than $600 million in disaster relief so they don't have to rebuild alone. Thank you to every farmer and rancher in our district and across our country. We've got your back.

⚠️ Isaias has weakened, and all hurricane and tropical storm warnings have ended. Stay cautious, because hazards remain. Rain is still falling across our district, and the Santa Fe and Suwannee rivers are still rising. Watch for standing water and downed power lines. If you evacuated, only return home when officials say it's safe. Never drive through flooded roads, and only run generators outdoors, at least 20 feet from your home. 📞 If you need help with FEMA or any federal agency, our office is here. Call 352-505-0838 or visit https://t.co/SXZXvpsw4u. Check on your neighbors and stay safe!

Background checks are required for nearly every job in America. Not for Congress. That’s INSANE. I introduced H.Res. 500 to hold the House to the same basic standard as every other workplace. If you're trusted to work in Congress, a background check should be the bare minimum. Call your representative. Tell them to cosponsor H.Res. 500. Demand background checks for House staff.

I’m not in Congress to protect the status quo. I’m here to disrupt it. 100,000+ pages of regulations and endless red tape are making it harder to build, hire, produce, and grow, without making America safer or better. It’s time to cut the red tape, tear down the barriers, and unleash the full power of the American economy.🇺🇸

Press Release
Congresswoman Kat Cammack, Florida Gateway College Announce $3 Million Federal Grant for New Construction Trades Center

LAKE CITY, Fla. — Congresswoman Kat Cammack (FL-03) joined Florida Gateway College (FGC) leaders on the college’s Lake City campus today to announce a $3 million federal grant, the largest in the college’s history, to build a new Building Construction Technology Center and launch trades programs for students across rural North Florida. Rep. Cammack backed FGC’s application with a letter of support. The five-year award comes through the Strengthening Institutions Program, a U.S. Department of Education program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration. This year’s competition prioritized rural institutions and programs that build career pathways and workforce readiness. "North Central Florida is full of folks who build things with their hands, and they shouldn't have to leave home to learn a trade. This center means they won't have to,” said Rep. Kat Cammack. “Florida Gateway put together a winning plan, and I was proud to back it. This is a federal investment done right, and I can't wait to see the first class walk into that lab." Rep. Cammack was joined by FGC President Dr. Lawrence Barrett, State Rep. Chuck Brannan, an FGC Trustee, and Kathy Hebda, Chancellor of the Division of Florida Colleges at the Florida Department of Education. “This grant is a tremendous investment in our college, our students, and the future of North Central Florida. The Building Construction program will create new opportunities for students to build skills, earn credentials, and pursue rewarding careers without having to leave the communities they call home. We’re grateful for the support that made this project possible, and we are excited to get to work,” said FGC President Dr. Lawrence Barrett. The grant will renovate an existing campus building for classroom space and add a 4,800-square-foot construction lab with modern tools and technology, new HVAC and exhaust systems, and upgraded electrical and IT capabilities. FGC will use the funding to create two stackable programs, a Building Construction Specialist certificate and a Building Construction Technology Associate in Science degree, so students can choose how far they go and which credentials they earn. Year one of the grant, funded at $1,583,000, covers the building renovation and the foundation for the new lab. Construction, equipment purchases, and curriculum development follow in year two, with classes expected to begin in fall 2028. ###

Three years ago today, the world witnessed pure evil. Hamas terrorists slaughtered roughly 1,200 innocent people—families in their homes, young people at a music festival, Americans, mothers, fathers, and children. Hundreds more were ripped from their families and taken hostage. October 7th was terrorism. It was barbarism. And we will never forget. Today, we remember the innocent lives stolen and pray for the families who carry that loss every day.

Our farmers feed America, and Washington needs to get out of their way. Florida's producers are facing rising costs and real uncertainty, and they deserve policies that help them compete, not red tape that holds them back. Get government out of the way and let our farmers do what they do best. I'll keep fighting for the farmers and families of North Central Florida. 🇺🇸

The Senate needs to grow a backbone and do something. Anything. They had their shot at a stock trading ban and blocked it. Meanwhile, I'm working to clean up the House. Members of Congress shouldn't be trading individual stocks, and House staff should have to pass a background check before they're hired. Common-sense reforms. Senate, take notes.
