@wrightstate, @WrightPattAFB and the @usairforce have a unique relationship that has been a part of who we are as a region for generations. On November 2nd the Stars, Stripes and Flight Classic will feature the Wright State University Raiders and the Air Force Academy Falcons at the Nutter Center. Events like this bring us together and celebrate the connection between our military and civilian communities.

As opportunities grow within the base, so do the opportunities outside the fence. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base contributes to much more than our national defense. These investments create thousands of jobs and bring billions of dollars to our region, strengthening our community and providing opportunity.

Energy independence is critical to our economic and national security. I have long supported an all-of-the-above approach to domestic energy production. Through strengthening strategic partnerships with key allies and lifting unreasonable restrictions on energy production we can help grow both our workforce and economy.

The number of jobs at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has nearly doubled during my time in Congress, and the base continues to grow. That growth attracts additional jobs and investment outside the fence. Wright-Patterson is the economic engine of our region and an instrumental asset to our national security.
