Illegal. And straight out of the authoritarian playbook. These are your tax dollars — they should benefit you, not Trump's ego. https://t.co/53W4hsjggG

Everyone sitting down to look at their budget is thinking the same thing right now — where is the money going? From tariffs, to health care cuts, to his war with Iran, Trump has made everything more expensive. https://t.co/640ytHS8lT

I am outraged by the brutal attack on Tenaya Stanford as her one-year-old daughter watched and others looked on. The man responsible must be held accountable. If you know who he is or have footage of the attack, contact law enforcement. But our responsibility does not end there. Violence against women, and the violence Black and brown women frequently endure, demands more than private disgust. It demands that we speak up, intervene safely, and refuse to excuse cruelty or look away. Tenaya deserved safety. Her daughter deserved safety. Holding the attacker accountable is essential. Holding one another accountable for what we tolerate is our responsibility as a community.

People aren't going to stop getting sick. And when seconds count, they're not going to be able to get the health care they need — because Trump took a sledgehammer to an already broken system. https://t.co/zHBJN1o53b

Bourbon is a $9 billion industry here at home in Kentucky — it's being decimated by the president. Trump is playing around with trade war after trade war, and people's paychecks are at stake. https://t.co/du8xUkmeIr

When our parents and grandparents need a little extra care during the day, we're lucky we can turn to places like Fern Creek Adult Day Center. But Trump's Medicaid cuts are putting these centers at risk. https://t.co/5P1Ub9hNg1

My prayers are with the family of Kentucky State Police Trooper Hayden Phillips, who was killed in the line of duty today. Alongside his fellow KSP troopers and all who knew and loved him, we will not forget his service to our commonwealth. I’m grateful to all who acted quickly to catch the suspect and prevent further violence.

Louisville is stronger because of our naturalized citizens and the stories, perspectives, and experiences they bring with them. We are so lucky they have chosen to work here, build lives here, and call Louisville home. This Citizenship Day, we're proud to celebrate these new Americans and those still on the path to citizenship.
