MAGA Republicans are bad for your health and our healthcare: they slash benefits, raise costs, and restrict access to lifesaving care. When we win, Democrats will end their cruelty, stop the cuts and begin our collective healing. #MondayMotivation
We absolutely, positively, definitely will win the House in a #BlueWaveIn30Days — and women will lead the way! -NP https://t.co/7uwE4XtZ2v
Today’s dismal jobs report once again shows that Trump’s economy is better at producing problems than paychecks. Instead of working to lower costs, Republicans have sent Congress home—skipping town just as working families need relief the most.
Today, provisions of the President’s Big Ugly Bill take effect that cut Medicaid and eliminate funding for SNAP, threatening the food assistance and health care that millions of Americans depend on. The President and his sycophants in Congress gleefully cheered these cuts—but there is nothing to celebrate about Americans going hungry or families going without the care they need.
At a time when working families are struggling to make ends meet, the President is using their hard-earned tax dollars to air ads celebrating himself. Trump’s need to feed his insatiable ego surprises no one, but making the American people pay for it is a disgrace.
San Francisco – Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement on the passing of San Francisco public servant Leona Bridges. "Leona Bridges was a devoted public servant and dear friend whose life was a blessing to San Francisco. From her work serving the public on San Francisco’s retirement board to supporting students at San Francisco State, Leona leaves an historic legacy of service that lives on in the countless lives she enriched. "I was proud to recommend Leona to President Biden for the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board and appoint her to the California Democratic Party Central Committee. Wherever there was a need, Leona and her beloved Deltas were there. "May it be a comfort to her family that so many mourn with them and are praying for them at this sad time.”
Thank you @JasonCrowCO and 700+ patriots who came out in Colorado for CrowFest to celebrate Democracy and advance our values. We WILL elect @killinforco and @MannyRutinel, and win back the People’s House For The Children! -NP https://t.co/sJIHDDpDTR
It was an honor to receive special recognition from the @PreventCancer Foundation’s Congressional Families Program yesterday. Cancer touches every family, and I’m grateful to Lisa McGovern for bringing us together across party lines to help prevent it or catch it early. https://t.co/dfkVyx4igS
MAGA Republicans cut TRILLIONS from healthcare in the Big Ugly Bill and STILL refuse to pass ACA Tax Credits in the Senate. The bully-in-chief now wants to kick even more Americans off their healthcare. VOTE THEM OUT to check this cruelty, corruption and chaos. #BlueWaveIn40Days
It was a joy to cheer on the women of Congress and the press corps at the Congressional Women’s Softball Game yesterday. Above all, the evening was a wonderful chance to stand with young adults facing breast cancer and support the Young Survival Coalition’s vital work. https://t.co/9E6jzbMAIA
It was a pleasure to celebrate Senator Barbara Mikulski’s 90th birthday today. From Baltimore’s neighborhoods to the halls of Congress, Barbara has been a tireless champion for working families and an inspiration to generations of women in public service. https://t.co/owMucUFRPD
16 years ago, the ACA’s Patient’s Bill of Rights took effect—ending lifetime coverage limits, protecting children with pre-existing conditions and safeguarding access to care. Contrary to the Trump Administration's beliefs, no one should lose coverage when they need it most.
“Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health is the most shocking and the most inhuman because it often results in death.” —Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The Trump Administration's shameless decision to rip away health insurance from thousands will leave working families unable to get the care they need. Using the false pretext of fighting fraud to strip Americans of their healthcare is as cynical as it is cruel.
Just when you thought things can't get worse for working families and Republicans can't sink any lower, the bully in the White House announces a plan to kick 1 million more Americans off their healthcare. The choice is clear: VOTE for Democrats if you want #HealthcareForAll. -NP https://t.co/uiNIngspqe
We are in difficult times right now, but hard times are not the end of the story. May we learn the lessons born of adversity and VOTE to keep building toward our long-term goal of beloved community — united around shared values of community, care and kindness. #MondayMotivation https://t.co/Sm82fXivPV
On this sacred day of Yom Kippur, we wish our Jewish friends and neighbors in San Francisco and across the world a meaningful and easy fast. May the year ahead be filled with hope and health. G’mar chatimah tovah. -NP https://t.co/t2rCHEkL3Z
They told us “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” was essential to protecting our military. They were wrong. Fifteen years after tossing that discriminatory policy into the dustbin of history where it belongs, we know the truth: discrimination has never made America safer—and it never will. https://t.co/V1BtqnrC0K
Freedom of the press is a right guaranteed by the First Amendment—not granted at the pleasure of the President. The free press represents the people, and Trump doesn’t get to decide that they can’t cover his presidency because he doesn’t approve of their reporting.
Democrats will win the House in a Blue Wave in 45 days because this election is Fed Up Americans' referendum on the failed president and Republicans in Congress. Get ready to vote them OUT — check your voter registration now at https://t.co/6BDvZuAHLx. https://t.co/HzciFtTBFo
It was a pleasure to meet with advocates from @AmericaforUA this week to discuss how Congress can help bring home the Ukrainian children who were cruelly abducted by Russia. Families are still waiting to bring their children home—and the world must not look away. https://t.co/WQImYNDGGW
On #ConstitutionDay, we honor our Founders’ vision and the promise of our Constitution: a government of, by and for the people. Each generation has a sacred responsibility to protect our democracy and uphold the values Americans have fought to protect.
On Constitution Day, we celebrate our Democracy and recommit to a future worthy of our Founders. We must each fulfill our civic obligation enshrined in the Constitution to defend our Democracy — and that begins with our vote. -NP https://t.co/w8KlvEDrLn
Republicans know that young people, minority voters and women are overwhelmingly voting Democratic — so they’re trying to take away your vote. Don’t let them. #GetReadyToVote at https://t.co/XrBGAd2uWe https://t.co/yi8SsnxLn5
The President’s reckless war in Iran is costing taxpayers billions, while skyrocketing prices make everyday life more expensive for working families. Trump said we couldn’t afford to lower costs—but he has no problem finding $38 billion for his war of choice.
