While some in America look to socialism, countries that have lived under it for decades are moving in the opposite direction and choosing economic freedom. America must continue choosing the system that rewards hard work and gives people the freedom to build a better future.

Happy Birthday to the United States Navy! Those who serve our nation in uniform do not do so for recognition. They serve because duty calls and their country needs them. Please join me in thanking our sailors for answering the call and defending our great nation. 🇺🇸 https://t.co/Cnnf7BRpKD

Capitalism is about taking responsibility for what you create and having the freedom to make it even greater. We are a nation of opportunity and incentive, and because of those principles, we are a nation of hope where everyone has the chance to succeed.

Today, we solemnly remember the innocent lives taken on October 7, 2023, when Hamas carried out its horrific terrorist attack against Israel. We honor the memory of those who were lost and hold their families in our prayers. Israel is one of our strongest allies, and we must always stand with them. When Israel is tested, we are tested. 🇺🇸🇮🇱

Instead of reining in wasteful government spending and addressing rising costs, Democrats continue pushing tax-and-spend policies that put more pressure on hardworking Americans. We should be expanding opportunity, not expanding government.

One year ago today, Democrats shut down the federal government for 42 days. As @HouseGOP acted to reopen the government, Democrats voted time and again to block those efforts. The result was one of the longest government shutdowns in U.S. history. A failed political protest that came at the expense of the American people.
