Happy National Farmers Day! Today, we recognize and thank our farmers and ranchers for their hard work and long hours year-round that put food on our tables. Idaho is home to 25,000 farms and ranches and ranks among the top 10 states in the nation for the production of more than 25 crops and livestock products. Idaho’s farmers and ranchers are an important part of what makes our state strong.
Recently, the House passed H.R. 10326, the PROOF Act. This legislation will strengthen federal-state cooperation to prevent fraud in high-dollar federal programs and allow agencies to collaborate in investigations and prosecutions. The bill holds agencies accountable by requiring annual reports to Congress. It requires strict privacy and data-security safeguards and limits how federal agencies can use the information.
Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists conducted a horrific attack on civilians in Israel. More than 1,200 women, children, and men were tortured and killed, including 12 Americans. Today, we prayerfully remember those who lost their lives. We are grateful for those who survived, and we dedicate efforts to prevent this type of heinous attack from ever happening again.
The SAVE Act remains a top priority for Idahoans and Americans across the country. The Department of Justice recently charged 16 individuals in connection with illegal voting and related election crimes. One of those individuals was located in Idaho and allegedly voted in the May 2022 and November 2024 elections. We cannot allow the integrity of our elections to be undermined. I have co-sponsored the SAVE Act and the Save America Act, which have both passed the House. Now, it’s time for the Senate to act and support these critical election safeguards. https://t.co/HUmbZo19SW

Meeting America’s growing energy demands will require increased domestic power production and a more diverse energy portfolio. I am proud to announce that language from my bill, the CLEAN Act, has been included in the large Senate permitting package that was just introduced. Geothermal energy has the potential to strengthen energy sources, and I look forward to working with my House and Senate colleagues to deliver this legislation to President Trump’s desk.
Today marks the 50th anniversary of the Hyde Amendment. Since its passage, it is estimated that more than 2.6 million lives have been saved. The government should not use taxpayer dollars to fund abortions. For 50 years, the Hyde Amendment has helped uphold this principle. We celebrate the gift of life and the innocent babies whose lives have been protected.
Investing in our water resources and infrastructure will allow for continued economic growth in Idaho. I am proud to see H.R. 9497, the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2026, a bipartisan piece of legislation, pass the House. This year’s WRDA legislation authorizes 133 new feasibility studies for locally proposed water resources infrastructure projects, as well as 14 projects that have been vetted by the Corps and are ready for construction upon Congressional authorization.
Today is a great day for the future of hydropower.
It comes as no surprise that Flock, a mass surveillance system, is now asking the government for privacy. Public maps are one of the few tools Americans have to maintain transparency and accountability over these surveillance systems. Americans want privacy. Not mass surveillance.

I am pleased to announce that I received a 100% rating on the American Energy Alliance’s 119th Congressional Scorecard. This recognition reflects my support for American energy. Idaho plays a vital role in our nation’s energy resources, and I will continue to advance legislation that strengthens our energy security.
The FBI is investigating recent reports of a sophisticated data breach of its systems. This serves as an important reminder for all Americans to safeguard their private data. I remain committed to protecting Americans’ data and privacy from warrantless searches, criminals, and hostile nations, while ensuring our law enforcement and intelligence agencies have the technological tools necessary to keep our nation safe. Here are some best practices for evaluating your own online security. https://t.co/uy8s51SU3Y

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has released 35 geothermal energy parcels for a competitive lease sale. This is the kind of American energy development we should continue to pursue. My bill, the CLEAN Act, would help further unlock opportunities to develop geothermal energy and support consistent geothermal lease sales. Americans want strong energy security, and I am proud that our state of Idaho can help lead the way.
Today, we celebrate 239 years of the U.S. Constitution. Authored by our Founding Fathers and adopted by We the People, our Constitution stands as a lasting framework for protecting the inalienable rights given to us by God. https://t.co/OQJxIsl6VS
Rural health care is a vital issue for many Idahoans. Through my support of the One Big Beautiful Bill, the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) was established, and Idaho is expected to receive $185 million in federal funding to help serve rural communities across our state.

Earlier this month, I voted in favor of H.J. Res. 1, a proposed constitutional amendment to permanently establish the U.S. Supreme Court at nine justices. This legislation would have protected the Constitution and helped prevent any political party from attempting to stack the Supreme Court.
I just heard about the emergency landing involving a plane carrying my colleague, Congressman Tiffany. I am thankful that he is unharmed and grateful for the first responders who quickly reached him and the other passengers. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved.
Twenty-five years ago, on September 11, our nation was attacked, and nearly 3,000 lives were tragically taken. Today, we remember the souls we lost too soon, honor the first responders who ran toward danger for their neighbor, and reaffirm our solemn commitment as Americans to never forget.
Since the start of the 119th Congress, my colleagues and I in the House Majority have: ✅ Delivered $4.6 trillion in tax cuts—the most in U.S. history ✅ Passed approximately 900 pieces of legislation—including my measures to eliminate the tax on overtime pay and increase geothermal energy production ✅ Rescinded 22 federal bureaucratic regulations—once again, the most in U.S. history I’m proud of these results in the House, and also recognize how much more work needs to be done. I will continue fighting for policies that reduce the federal government's size and scope, strengthen our economy, and put more money back in the pockets of hardworking Americans.
Idahoans should always be able to determine what happens to the data their vehicle generates—including GPS location, routes, and driving habits. That’s why I have co-sponsored H.R. 6734, the Auto Data Privacy and Autonomy Act. This bill protects consumers’ sensitive vehicle data from being accessed by third parties unless the vehicle owner has authorized it, and it allows consumers to control whether they want their operator data stored or deleted.
It was an honor to welcome our Idaho veterans to Washington, D.C., for the inaugural Idaho Honor Flight and recognize the extraordinary sacrifices they made to preserve our freedom. I am grateful to the Honor Flight Network and Anheuser-Busch for their dedication to supporting veterans and to everyone who helped make this meaningful experience possible. It is a special opportunity to honor Idaho’s heroes and their families, showing them that their sacrifices will never be forgotten.
