Trump is renaming many locations, including the Kennedy center for him so he’ll be remembered after he’s gone. He doesn’t have to worry .Al Capone was remembered after he was gone, and he didn’t have anything named for him. Like Capone, he will live in infamy.

Mental health is an issue that is deeply personal for me because my father was a psychiatrist. He taught me that taking care of your mental health should never be something to hide or feel ashamed of, which is why I have consistently supported programs that increase mental health resources. On World Mental Health Day, let’s continue building communities where asking for help is met with compassion and support.

@RonFilipkowski Trump has never been honest in this war. He’s always been for Putin. He likes powerful people. He thinks that makes him more powerful cause he’s on their level. He would’ve loved Hitler.

Congressman Cohen Receives an “A” from the Defend the Vote Action Fund

WASHINGTON -- Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that Defend The Vote Action Fund has given him an “A,” the top score possible, on its legislative scorecard for his support for bills that will crack down on corruption and protect the voice and vote of Tennesseans. The 2026 Legislative Scorecard for the 119th Congress evaluates every Member of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate based on their support for legislation that reduces the influence of corruption in our political system. It also considers support for and opposition to legislation that would weaken democratic institutions, undermine election integrity, restrict voting rights, or diminish public accountability. “The only way we are going to have a government that serves the people is if we crack down on the corruption that is driving up costs by putting billionaire donors and corporate lobbyists ahead of everyone else,” DTV Action Fund Executive Director Brian Lemek said. “Representative Cohen’s record paints a clear picture that shows he is stepping up in this moment. It is more important than ever that our elected representatives side with regular people and reform this broken, corrupt system that is failing us all.” Congressman Cohen made the following statement: “I am pleased to see my efforts to promote democracy and fight corruption recognized this way. We are living in perilous times and the right to vote is under attack in too many places, including in Tennessee, as we saw earlier this year with the Republican gerrymander of my district. I appreciate Defend the Vote Action Fund for drawing attention to these issues.” # # #

Earlier today, I was recognized for my lifetime of public service by the Black Chamber of Memphis at its “Building Wealth in Our Community Symposium.” I am particularly proud of the work I have done to strengthen the local economy and its Black businesses from bringing a Minority Business Development Agency to Memphis to hosting Federal Procurement Fairs and securing Community Project Funding for the Black Business Association.

Today, I reintroduced the Police Training and Independent Review Act, legislation that would help restore trust between law enforcement officials and the communities they serve by helping prevent police-involved deaths and encouraging independent, impartial investigations into law enforcement officials’ use of deadly force. Too many police encounters on our streets turn deadly, and my community has felt the devastating impacts firsthand. See my full statement here: https://t.co/SAG7TRs5eX

In 2017, I introduced 5 articles of impeachment against President Trump, and today, I am compelled to introduce 26 more. Just because the GOP majority in Congress has been derelict in its duty to hold the President accountable, does not mean I must abandon my duties and the oath I took to support and defend the Constitution.
