It's just common sense. If you work hard, you should be able to raise a family, afford a home and build a good life.

It was great to join the Roseburg Urban Sanitary Authority for the ribbon cutting on their new solar and battery storage project. Wastewater treatment has to keep running even when the power goes out. This project will help keep critical services running during emergencies while lowering energy costs for the community.

Inflation just hit a four-month high. Working families are feeling it at the gas pump and beyond. The President’s illegal, immoral war in Iran needs to stop. The American people can’t wait any longer.

The raid on @Ilhan isn’t about justice — it’s harassment, intimidation and an abuse of power. Using law enforcement for political retaliation is straight out of a dictator’s playbook and threatens our democracy. This should alarm everyone.

Diesel was $3.63 the day the President was inaugurated. Today, it’s $5.02 in Oregon. Every tank filled is a receipt for the Administration’s illegal, immoral war in Iran. https://t.co/257EykLNOH

Innovation should never come at the expense of workers. The proposed sale of Spirit Airlines’ internal data to Google is raising alarm bells around workers’ privacy. I’m calling on Google to implement strict safeguards to protect workers’ sensitive information in this transaction. https://t.co/24VgA4ee2J

REP. HOYLE STATEMENT ON THIRD ANNIVERSARY OF OCTOBER 7TH

Eugene, OR – Today, U.S. Representative Val Hoyle released the following statement on the third anniversary of the October 7th attack: “It’s been 3 years since Hamas’ brutal terrorist attack on October 7. We cannot forget the 1,200 innocent people who were brutally murdered that day and the more than 250 hostages taken from their families. As the world grapples with these actions, we must continue speaking out against this horrific atrocity and call out the hate that has stemmed from it. Over 70,000 Palestinians have senselessly lost their lives—including a heartbreaking 20,000 children— and countless others have been displaced and left without access to food, water and medical care. How many more have to die before we have peace? I continue to call on the Netanyahu government to end the violence in Gaza and the West Bank, for the Trump administration to bring the needless, immoral war in Iran to an end, and for our partners in the Gulf region to bring their considerable negotiating powers to the table to achieve freedom, security and self-determination for Israelis and Palestinians alike.” ###

REP. HOYLE CONDUCTS OVERSIGHT AT TACOMA ICE FACILITY

Eugene, OR – Today, Congresswoman Val Hoyle and her staff conducted an oversight visit at a United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Tacoma, Washington, where constituents are being detained. After the visit, Rep. Hoyle released the following statement: "Constituents in my district are footing a nearly $1,500-per-person bill for illegal mass deportations," said Rep. Hoyle. "This is a cruel waste of resources and not what people voted for. Today in Tacoma, we were checking on community members to ensure they have legal representation, healthcare and access to food and information.” If you have questions about immigration or know someone who is in detention, contact our office at (541) 465-6732 or hoyle.house.gov. Background People in Oregon’s Fourth Congressional District are spending $1,483 per person to fuel the Administration’s mass deportation campaign. Rep. Hoyle is committed to fighting for a system that honors due process and focuses enforcement on those who have committed violent crimes, not tearing away innocent people from their families, jobs and communities. Some of her recent legislative actions include: ###
