Iowans lost $96 million to fraud last year, up 85%, including a Wapello County farmer who lost over $1 million in 2024. Today in Ottumwa, I joined local leaders with a clear message: the House passed my GUARD Act to give law enforcement new tools to stop scammers. The Senate needs to finish the job.

Iowans started voting today. I offered four debates so every voter could hear from both candidates before casting a ballot. Sarah Trone Garriott said she was too busy to make any debate happen until October 27. I won’t let that keep Iowans from a debate, so I’ve said yes to the 27th. I hope my opponent will find the time to join us on the debate stage.

For families in Wayne County, better rural health care means more time at home and less time driving hours for treatment. We delivered $2 million to double dialysis capacity at Wayne County Hospital, helping patients like Karina’s dad get lifesaving care just five miles from home instead of going 120 miles away three days a week. That’s what investing in rural health care looks like.

Washington is finally taking a closer look at a challenge we’ve been working to address for over a year: how to keep America ahead in AI without leaving our economy and national security vulnerable. The Administration's 120-day AI task force reflects key priorities of my bipartisan AI Plan Act, including identifying emerging threats, coordinating with industry partners, and developing a national response. As Jay Clayton warned, “The risk of not being first is high.” The same goes for being unprepared. America’s AI leadership must deliver both innovation and security. ⬇️ https://t.co/1eQNLh6DuB

Johnston asked for a safer Highway 141. They put together the plan, and I delivered $500,000 in air support to help get it done. That’s how I’ve worked for Iowa from day one, and it’s how we’ve brought home nearly $200 million for infrastructure across our state. Iowans deserve results, and I’ll keep working across the aisle to deliver them.

Happy National Farmers Day to the Iowans who are up before sunrise and still in the combine long after dark this time of year. This harvest season, I’m fighting to bring down input costs, prioritize the fuel we grow here in Iowa, and deliver a Farm Bill with 21 Iowa priorities to the President’s desk.

Happy National Farmers Day to every Iowa family bringing in the crop this fall. 🌽 Farm families keep telling me the same thing: costs are too high and margins are too tight. This harvest season, I’m fighting to bring down input costs, prioritize the fuel we grow here in Iowa, and get our Farm Bill with 21 Iowa priorities to the President’s desk. My job is to push back on Washington whenever it forgets who it answers to. Iowa farmers first, always.

40 years old. That's now the average age of a first-time homebuyer in America. It should not be that way. My bill, now signed into law, moves rural housing programs out of HUD and into USDA, so Iowans can get help at the USDA office in their own county instead of driving to Chicago or Kansas City. More homes, lower costs, and help close to home.

Iowa, my job is to deliver for you. That’s my record, with almost 30 bills signed into law under two presidents of different parties. On the other side, Sarah Trone Garriott hasn’t gotten anything done for Iowa. Her record is voting against making life more affordable for Iowans and voting to let men into women’s sports. Iowa always comes first, and I’ll keep fighting to get results for you.

For too long, abusive puppy mills got a slap on the wrist while man’s best friend continued to suffer. I fought to strengthen USDA’s authority to crack down on bad actors, and now @SecRollins is putting it to work with tougher enforcement and real consequences for abusive breeders. ⬇️ https://t.co/p2pPa4JAfw

I’ve got 800,000 bosses in Iowa’s Third District. Republicans, independents, and Democrats alike. Every week, I take your priorities to DC and fight for them. That fight has delivered almost 30 bills into law for Iowa, signed by presidents of both parties. Iowa always comes first. 🇺🇸

Early voting opens Wednesday, October 14. Make your plan to vote early, and bring along a neighbor who hasn’t made theirs yet. 🇺🇸

A deputy working nights over the holidays shouldn’t have to send his overtime to Washington, and neither should the nurse picking up a double or the construction crew putting in an 80-hour week. That's why I delivered No Tax on Tips and No Tax on Overtime in the Working Families Tax Cut. You earned it. You should get to keep it.

Mental health struggles often don’t leave visible scars. Veterans returning home and families facing challenges in silence shouldn’t have to fight these battles alone. This World Mental Health Day, we’re working across the aisle to expand access to care, including our Harvey-Lambert Act to build mental health support into the transition home for servicemembers.

Too many young Iowans want to build their life in the town they grew up in, and can’t find a house to do it. That’s why I fought for a generational housing bill, and made sure it prioritized small towns here in Iowa instead of Chicago and New York. It puts the money in the hands of folks already working in every county in Iowa, so a young farmer can build a home near the land and a small town can finally add the new cul-de-sac it’s been waiting on.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re turning awareness into action: fighting to expand early detection, supporting life-saving screenings, and bringing cancer care closer to home with four new cancer centers in our communities.

I’ve shown up on the debate stage every year before Iowans vote. Sarah Trone Garriott says she’s too busy until Halloween weekend. I have a bipartisan record of delivering results I’m ready to defend. Sarah Trone Garriott has a record of radical votes against Iowa that she’s trying to run away from. Iowans deserve a representative who actually shows up and delivers, and that’s exactly what I’ll keep doing.
