For generations, immigrants and refugees have helped strengthen our communities. Proud to celebrate $300,000 in federal funding for Global Refuge to help newcomers build careers, find stability, and put down roots here in Maryland. https://t.co/jSBnE5Kfbi

I was so fired up to be in Ohio. Now let’s go elect @SherrodBrown to the United States Senate. Ohio is ready for it. We need fighters in the Senate who actually want to bring down costs, end this war, and get America back on track. https://t.co/24I39P3gDb

It’s a joy to be in Ohio today campaigning for Democrats! I kicked off my morning with Rep. Emilia Sykes, Krista Allison for Ohio State House, and Thomas West for Ohio State Senate. We are all each other’s neighbor–and we must fight for one another to truly thrive. https://t.co/OWNC9LfiYx

What a great night at the Baltimore County Democratic Unity Dinner! At a time when our nation feels so divided, it felt so good to be together. I am going to keep fighting for a world where we can regard each other as neighbors. https://t.co/IlgKJ3yyp9

For 33 years, Baltimore’s Civil Rights Breakfast has brought people together to honor our progress and recommit to the work that lies ahead. This city has a deep civil rights legacy, built by people who refused to let anyone else determine what was possible. https://t.co/jKWT6ssDvI

Three years ago today, Hamas launched a horrific attack on Israel. Hamas brutally murdered 1,200 innocent people including 46 Americans and taking even more hostage. The years that have followed have been full of increased violence, hate, and division. This continued war will not make Israel any safer. We must work together to find lasting peace and prosperity for Palestinians and Israelis.

I’m in North Carolina because we absolutely must elect @RoyCooperNC. Across the country, people are clear that their lives have gotten worse, not better, under President Trump. Every Democrat has to win right now. https://t.co/67e0g09WQo

When the restoration of Calder’s Mountains and Clouds needed its signature “Calder Black” paint, the U.S. Army Research Laboratory in Prince George’s County was able to recreate the shade. Proud that Maryland played a part in bringing Calder’s vision back to life. https://t.co/vA5dQva5Pk

ICYMI – SENATOR ALSOBROOKS HELPS LOCATE MAGIC CALDER PAINT

October 1, 2026 WASHINGTON, DC – In case you missed it, the New York Times covered the unique story of how, after more than a decade, Alexander Calder’s monumental “Mountains and Clouds,” located in the Hart Senate Office Building, has finally been restored. The restoration hit many snags until donors and legislators from both parties stepped in. Senator Angela Alsobrooks (D-Md.), during her time as Prince George’s County Executive, helped to locate the Calder Black paint. The Calder Black paint is now only being produced in Prince George’s County, Md. “Then came the dilemma over the sculpture’s signature Calder Black paint, a light-absorbing matte black hue no longer in distribution. Before she was elected to the Senate in 2024, Angela Alsobrooks of Maryland, then a county executive, learned of the problem and connected the Calder Foundation to the U.S. Army Research Laboratory based in Prince George’s County, Md. Leaders there said they could recreate the shade. “It was a persnickety detail, but vital to the project. Mr. Rower said his grandfather had a vision, and he wanted to honor it.” Read more in The New York Times here. ###

RFK Jr.’s leadership at HHS has been absolutely disastrous. Measles is surging, public health systems have been weakened, and families deserve science-based information—not conspiracy theories—when it comes to their children’s health. https://t.co/fO4nDHwHAd

SENATOR ALSOBROOKS’ STATEMENT ON S.RES.852

September 29, 2026 WASHINGTON, DC – Senator Angela Alsobrooks (D-Md.) voted for S.Res.852, a resolution requesting information on Israel’s human rights practices pursuant to section 502B(c) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961. After the vote, she released the following statement: “Whenever an American citizen is killed overseas, Congress has a responsibility to learn exactly what happened and what we can do to ensure it never happens again. I joined my colleagues in demanding the answers Americans deserve. For the sake of Palestinians and Israelis, for the sake of peace and compassion, the violence we have witnessed in the West Bank must stop, and there must be accountability for the perpetrators and justice for the victims. It is time to change course. My commitment to Israel’s right to exist and defend itself is unwavering, but I will always stand up to injustice and violence.” ###
