Elon Musk just poured $276 million into the midterms to try to buy the outcome. Our democracy was built on “We the People,” not the biggest checkbook. The only answer is for all of us to mobilize, organize, and vote like everything is on the line—because it is. Op: @donlemonofficial

Influential voices within MAHA are sounding the alarm. The Trump administration has chosen again and again to side with big corporations and billionaires over hard working families who are demanding that we address toxic exposures, chronic disease, and the failures of our broken food and agricultural systems. We must continue this fight. https://t.co/mbAceQLHeH

Proud to earn the endorsement of @afscmenewjersey . AFSCME members are the backbone of our communities, providing essential services that families across New Jersey count on every single day. I’m honored to have them in my corner and proud to keep fighting for the dignity, fair pay, and respect that every working person deserves.

I got to call and thank our incredible volunteers in Las Vegas who are working day and night to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. This election can deliver real relief for families barely keeping their heads above water: lower prices, health care they can count on, and a government that puts working people first. Organize. Mobilize. On November 3rd, together, we can make history.

Here’s to those who teach us grit, perseverance, and self-reliance. Who believe in us enough to step back, give us room to struggle, and let us discover what we are capable of. And here’s to those who keep trying. Who refuse to give up. Who find a way to carry heavy loads, overcome obstacles, and show others what is possible. May we raise more children who believe they can. And may we never stop believing in ourselves and the generations to come. op: @deddehhoward

We are still a nation urgently and desperately in need of the NAACP. Grateful to speak before the NAACP in Jersey. We face a storm unlike any before for all Americans, African Americans in particular. But we still have a democracy where the power of the people is greater than the people in power.

No president should be able to weaponize the federal government against political enemies and we cannot grow numb to this. Donald Trump has a clear record of doing exactly this. We are days before the election, and everyone should be deeply suspicious of President Trump’s justice department and their actions against any sitting member of congress. Moreover, Trump himself continues to prove how detached he is from the most pressing concerns Americans are facing, and why his agenda of cruelty, chaos and corruption must be checked.

Families are paying more for groceries, rent, and prescriptions. The Antitrust Division should be going after the corporations and monopolies behind those costs — not investigating newsrooms for how they cover the President.

What we expect of others matters. What we see in them matters. What we believe is possible for them matters. When we look at a child through the lens of limitations, we risk limiting their possibilities. But when we see their potential, believe in their greatness, and invest in their promise, we can help them rise beyond even what they imagined for themselves. My greatest mentors taught me that this truth extends far beyond individuals. It applies to neighborhoods, communities, cities, and even our nation. One of my greatest teachers, Ms. Virginia Jones, once told me something that changed my life: “The world you see outside of you is a reflection of what you have inside of you.” She challenged me that if all I saw were problems, darkness, and despair, that was all there would ever be. But if I was stubborn enough to see hope, opportunity, possibility, love, and the face of God, then I could be someone who helped make change happen. She taught me that how we see the world shapes how we act in it. And how we act can change it. So see the promise in others. Believe in their potential. Look at your community not just for what it is, but for what it could become. Our expectations should never be ceilings that limit others. They should be foundations that help them rise. See the possibility. Believe in the promise. Be part of making it real. op: @lewishowes

NJ TRANSIT and Amtrak operations will be impacted October 11-November 14 as trains completely shift from the Portal Bridge that entered service in 1910 to the new Portal North Bridge, a two-track fixed span bridge. The conclusion of the Portal North cutover and the recent start of tunnel boring for the Hudson Tunnel Project are significant milestones in the 11-project Gateway Program, which will double rail capacity between Newark and New York once completed. Commuters using NJ TRANSIT may consult with NJ TRANSIT staff at stations, follow guidelines on the NJ TRANSIT app, and go to https://t.co/G6SgODiecg to review cross-honoring options.

Here’s to a celebration of life, of music, of art, of creativity, and of the beautiful power of inclusion. When we come together across our differences, when we recognize the gifts and talents in each other, we create something greater than any one of us could create alone. Like a marching band, we make better music when everyone has a part to play, when every person is valued, when every gift is welcomed, and every voice is heard. We are a stronger people, a better nation, and a more beautiful world when we recognize the dignity, worth, and extraordinary potential in one another. This is the power of a beloved community. May we see more of this. May we be more like this.

Here’s to those extraordinary people who, in moments of crisis and grave danger, refuse to be mere bystanders. They step up. They step in. They act. They risk themselves in service of others, often complete strangers, and sometimes, as in this extraordinary story, they save a life. We should herald these heroes. We should celebrate them. We should elevate their stories. Too often our media and algorithms amplify the worst of who we are. The cruelty, the conflict, the outrage, the meanness. But the truth is, every single day, all across our nation, there are good people doing great things. People helping, healing, rescuing, comforting, protecting, and serving others. People whose quiet acts of courage and compassion make an extraordinary difference. These are not isolated exceptions to our humanity. They are powerful expressions of it. At a time when so much attention is given to what divides us, may we remember that the ties that bind us are far stronger than the lines that divide us. There is so much goodness in this world. So much courage. So much grace. So much love. May we see more of it. May we celebrate and elevate it. And most importantly, may we be more of it. op: @insideedition

Here’s to young heroes. To children whose courage, presence of mind, and instinct to help remind us that even the youngest among us can rise to extraordinary moments. When their mother collapsed, these two children didn’t just witness a crisis. They stepped up. They took action. They called for help. And here’s to the extraordinary first responders who answered that call. To the family that surrounded these children with love. To the communities of caring that remind us that none of us stands alone. We are bound together by ties of compassion, service, and love. These connections don’t just reflect our humanity. They help define it. What could have been an even greater tragedy was made better by the courage of two little children and the people who came to their aid. God bless these young heroes. May they always know how special they are, how much their courage mattered, and how much this world needs the light they showed in a moment of darkness. May we see more of this. May we be more like this. op: @davidjustinn
