Julie Willoughby is a Republican member of the Arizona House of Representatives representing District 13, which covers much of Chandler and all of Sun Lakes. An ER nurse from Chandler, Arizona, and a graduate of Arizona State University, she ran unsuccessfully for the seat in 2018 and again in 2022, when she won the Republican primary but lost the general election to Liz Harris and Jennifer Pawlik. After Harris was expelled from the House, Willoughby was appointed by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to fill the vacancy and was sworn in on May 5, 2023.
