Daniel Emrich is an American politician who has served as a Republican member of the Montana State Senate for District 11 since January 2023. In February 2023, he introduced House Bill 235, which sought to prohibit science educators from teaching subject matter deemed not "scientific fact," a measure that drew opposition from students, educators, and members of the Board of Public Education who argued it mischaracterized scientific theory and could hinder instruction on topics such as climate change, gravity, and cell theory.
