Bill Taylor, a Republican, has represented District 86 in the South Carolina House of Representatives since 2010, covering much of Aiken County and portions of Lexington County. Born July 16, 1946, in Aurora, he has run in elections for state office over a span from 1972 to 2022, winning seven and losing four. He serves on the House Ways & Means Committee and the House Regulations & Artificial Intelligence Committee, and previously served a decade on the House Education and Public Works Committee, six years on the Legislative Oversight Committee, and one term on the House Labor, Commerce & Industry Committee.
