She was born in the Kansas City metropolitan area and holds a degree from Beloit College. Feltus previously served in Vermont's House from 2012 to 2023, and in Lyndonville she served on the planning commission and zoning board of appeals and as a village trustee from 1980 to 1997, followed by service on the village's select board from 1997 to 2018.
