The bill includes authorization for necessary funding in fiscal year 2025 and beyond, with a 180-day implementation period after enactment, and allows the Commissioner to hire staff, establish advisory committees with industry and consumer representatives, and coordinate with state agencies to conduct half of all safety inspections.
