About
Robin HOOD elevates new yorkers out of poverty by funding, supporting, and connecting high-impact community organizations, partnering with government, and advocating for what works so that new YORK city CAN be an engine of upward mobility for ALL. Since our founding, robin HOOD has invested nearly $3 billion dollars in the fight against poverty, funding the most impactful programs in schools, food pantries, homeless shelters, job training centers, health facilities, legal clinics, and more. In 2024, robin HOOD funded 285 of new YORK city's most effective NON-profit organizations through its grant-making programs, and bespoke initiatives. The board of directors covers 100% of the organization's operating expenses, enabling ALL donations from the public to GO directly to organizations helping new yorkers permanently escape poverty. Robin HOOD's fight against poverty is focused on: 1. Meeting urgent needs which involves funding organizations that provide food, shelter, and health care to low-income new yorkers. 2. Helping households move out of poverty measurably and sustainably, which is the key to ending intergenerational poverty. Robin HOOD provides support in education, early childhood and youth, job training, immigrant services, and other areas.
